5-DAY GREEN BELT TRAINING
Introduction
This course provides a route for moving from being a team member towards gaining some of the skills required to become a project manager.
Who should attend this course?
People who have already achieved yellow belt status in a company that has a reasonably sophisticated Six Sigma capability. This course is not available to individuals, only corporate customers.
After attending this course you will be able to:
- Understand Six Sigma in the context of business
- Understand that the Voices of the Customer, Process, People and Stakeholder generate projects and how projects are identified.
- Understand the concepts, framework and roles within Six Sigma and Lean.
- Understand variation and how it impacts on process as a sigma level.
- Appreciate the aspects of leadership, teamworking and change management.
- Understand the DMAICT methodology - phases and steps.
- Understand the characteristics of a process and the basics of process improvement.
- Have an overview of statistical tools used in DMAICT.
- Sustain and monitor improvements.
Overview
This is an efficient way to move towards Green Belt status if you are already a competent Yellow Belt. This programme includes tutored training that focuses on the tools and techniques that any Green Belt should understand and be able to use. It includes the fundamentals of Six Sigma framework variation, processes and roles, VoC vs VoP. Additionally the course covers teamworking, process and waste management, data collection, monitoring and control whilst also providing an overview of the statistical tools used in DMAICT.
The delegates will be able to participate actively in company improvement initiatives using the DMAICT methodology and lean/6-sigma tools by supporting Black Belts and leading continuous improvement projects.
