- Define a Six Sigma process improvement project.
- Form a project team.
- Lead the team through the Six Sigma project process to deliver benefits to the business.
- Know when and how to use key elements in the Six Sigma tool-set to make data driven improvements.
- Coach team members in the Six Sigma project process and tool-set.
Overview There are two Green Belt programmes based around the DMAICT (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control and Transfer) Improvement Process. The modules for the 10-day programme are separated by approximately one month so that delegates can start to put into practice what they have learned. It is advisable that attendees arrive with an outline project in order that they can receive advice and guidance during the first module. Attendees must have access to a laptop computer installed with Minitab. A copy of Minitab can be provided at cost.
The 5-day course incorporates Lean principles within the DMAICT Process Improvement Methodology. If your intent is to be a proficient and certified Green Belt, the 5-day course will not meet the requirements. In doing the 10-day course, you will be eligible for certification and will be in a position to run complex projects. Also the 10-day Green Belt (or similar training elsewhere) is a pre-requisite for the Black Belt Conversion course. The 5-day course is good for enabling people to run simple projects (such as waste elimination) or for people who are supporting a Green Belt on a larger project.
